So, I did it. I tested out the 'Ruby' and 'Mykonos' lip paint.
I found the pencil to be a bit dry and had to drag it across by lips (ouch!). The lip paint was easy to apply and dried down pretty quickly. The formula of both isn't what I'd call moisturising but it didn't suck the moisture out of my lips. It lasted for at least 8 hours (there is minimal transfer) or until you eat an oily/greasy meal (where the inner part of your lips will definitely need a touch up).
